How do I lock down my phone number and protect it from spam?
First, click the drop-down arrow next to your name and select “manage personas” to select the phone number you’d like to protect. Now in your account settings, selecting “privacy and visibility” will allow you full control over who can find and contact you.
Can someone else use my phone number to access my account?
Your account remains secure, as the authentication code sent to your phone is unique and changes with each login attempt. Without access to your SMS, unauthorized users can't get the needed code. Remember, never share this code with anyone.
What happens if my phone is lost or stolen?
If your phone is lost or stolen, contact our support immediately. We'll secure your account by temporarily disabling phone number authentication and assist in updating your authentication details.
Is my phone number safe with you?
Your privacy and security are our top priorities. We securely store your phone number for authentication purposes only, unless you opt to make it public within our service. Your personal information, including your phone number, is never sold or shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
How does phone number authentication work and why is it required?
Phone number authentication provides a secure, personalized login experience. After you enter your phone number, we'll send a unique code via SMS or call. Inputting this code verifies your identity and completes the login, safeguarding your account against unauthorized access. It streamlines the login process, allowing secure account access without the need for complex passwords.
What if I don’t receive the authentication code?
If you haven't received the code shortly, double-check your phone number for accuracy. If issues persist, you can request a new code via SMS or call. Our support team is ready to assist with any problems, simply email them at support@phound.app.
How do I create and invite people to a meeting on Phound?
There are multiple ways to create and invite people to meetings on Phound. You can open the contact card of the person you want to meet with and click the “Meet” button. You can also click the “Host meeting now” button on the homepage, and invite people using the invite button in the meeting. You can also schedule a meeting and invite people in your contacts list.
How do I get a vanity phone number?
After upgrading, you will be prompted to select a number. If you are not prompted to do so, follow these steps: go to your profile, select "Numbers”, and click "Add a New Number." From here, enter the desired country and filter for a number you like.
Is Phound available as a mobile and desktop application?
Yes, you can download Phound on both your mobile device and your desktop. Click here for all of Phound’s download options.
How do I switch between devices during a meeting?
When opening the Phound app on a different device while in a meeting, you can click the “Connect” button to seamlessly transfer your call between devices.
Am I able to have a co-host in a meeting?
Currently, there are no roles in meetings. However, more meeting controls are being planned for the future. Check out our upcoming features page for all of Phound’s updates.
How do I get back into the meeting if I get disconnected?
There are two ways to re-enter a meeting. The first way is by clicking the meeting link in the calendar invite, or you can search for the person hosting the meeting and clicking the “Meet” button within the app.
