How to port your phone number to Phound — in-app, no paperwork

Keep your phone number while unlocking HD voice, advanced call control, and verified privacy. Porting to Phound happens entirely in the app — no forms, no emails.

Keep your number, ditch the noise

Your phone number isn't just how people reach you — it's how they recognize you. Whether you're a business owner, a contractor, or just someone tired of spam, your number holds the connections you've built. That's why porting your number to Phound is one of the simplest yet most powerful moves you can make.

What is number porting?

Porting means you move your existing number — from AT&T, Google Voice, Vonage, or any other carrier — over to Phound. It's your number, your identity, your terms.

Why port to Phound?

  • Keep the number people already know
  • Get a real business phone number with Phound Pro, starting at $9.99/user/month
  • Use high-definition audio with noise cancellation
  • Host meetings, conference calls, and set up call routing
  • Bring calling, messaging, video, and AI into one app

How to port your number — entirely in the app

No forms to download. No phone bill to scan. No emails to support. The whole process happens inside Phound:

  1. Access the porting section. Open Phound, go to the Numbers section, and tap Add Existing Number.
  2. Choose link or port. Linking uses your number as an identifier; porting transfers full ownership to Phound.
  3. Fill out the in-app form. Enter your phone number, carrier account number, and the port-out PIN from your current provider.
  4. Choose a port-out date. Pick a transfer date at least three business days out so your current carrier has time to process it.
  5. Submit your request. Review your details and submit. You'll get a confirmation right in the app.
  6. Keep your current service active. Don't cancel your existing plan until porting is fully confirmed — cancelling early can interrupt the transfer.
  7. Let Phound support handle the rest. Our team manages carrier verification and any documentation needed, and keeps you updated the whole way.
  8. You're live on Phound. Once porting completes, your number shows up under Active Numbers — start calling and messaging.

Please note: Porting a number does not carry over your call logs or text message history — just the number.
